Isaac and Noah

This is from awhile ago when Isaac got to hang out with his friend Noah. Noah has a twin sister Ella, but she was sleeping so Isaac and Noah got to have fun in the pool and then come in and dry off and eat graham crackers. yummy.

Smokey Mountain Visit

Dan and I got to spend our 5th anniversary spending a couple days in the smokey mountains. We stayed in a little cabin in the woods just outside of Townsend, TN. It was beautiful and very relaxing. I spent a lot of time knitting and reading and Dan spent a lot of time reading and reading. I did manage to forget our digital camera so these pics are from a little disposable and I scanned them into our computer.

Uncle Bob's Wedding

So, I must start by appologizing for my complete lack of blogging. I don't know what has gotten into me the last couple months, but I have just totally fallen off the ball. I'll just blame it on being pregnant. I'm going to try to catch up this next week on some fun times that happened this summer which seems to be quickly coming to an end. This is my silly mom dancing like some kind of chicken...and no we didn't even do the chicken dance. hahahahahaMe, Isaac, Lauren, and RJ about to head off to Uncle Bob's rehearsal dinner.

Outside the wedding which ironically took place at Lakewood Methodist Church where my family went while we lived in Lakewood (3rd - 8th grade). It was great being back in Lakewood for the weekend. It was so beautiful and brought back so many wonderful memories. One funny note: My sister brought her friend John and as we were walking one day he exclaimed, "I swear that this is the hamptons...it is so beautiful...it feels just like the hamptons." Lauren and I quickly corrected him and let him know that we were in fact in Cleveland, OH...NOT the hamptons. :) (that's for all of you out there that thinks cleveland sucks and have never actually been there).

Visit To Cincinnati

So about a week ago my mommy and I went to cincinnati to spend some time with nanna and poppa and auntie lolo and uncle RJ and we even got to go to a wedding up in cleveland. In this picture mommy, lolo, poppa and I all went to this really fun wading pool by the river. It was sweet!

There are some kind of "interesting" people that like to hang out at the wading pool. Mommy told me that it's not polite to make this face at people in public.
Bobbers is this crazy dog that lives with nanna. I always try to be nice and play with him, but he always runs away. I like brother Bear a lot better.
My first night in town and we are already having SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun. I guess you just had to be there.
It's cool when you are little because you get to do lots of fun things all the time, like swing, and pull things off of tables, and open up cabinets and take everything out of them, and lots more things too!
Poppa is really good at pushing me in the swing. We had lots of fun together.
Mommy looks kind of devilish in this picture, but mostly she is nice.

Castaway "The Grande Finale"

OK...so we have been home from Castaway now for a little over two weeks. Things are finally starting to seem normal again. We had SUCH and AMAZING month!!! It was absolutely incredible. We loved the people that we got to live with and really enjoyed so many things about communal living. It was especially wonderful for Isaac who always had friends to play with. It was such a happy month for the little man. It was also wonderful to be in a place where God's presence was so easily felt. We are so thankful for the month and look forward to doing it again. Below are the rest of our pics.

This is mostly just for me. It is a reminder of the walk that I took each day. It was a wonderful time of peace and reflection. I miss those country roads and all the open spaces.

"Well...if you want to know what I honestly thought about Castaway...well....hmmmm.....let me think....I didn't love the food...got a little bit sick of sleeping in my pack-n-play....lots of noise....but other than that it was WONDERFUL!!! I hope that I get to come back here again!!"

Castaway cont.

OK...well I have kind of gotten tired of all the picture taking and posting. These pictures no longer really correspond to certain days at camp. Days 5, 6, and 7 kind of all blurr together as camp fun. So from here on out I will just post some of our fun camp pics.

This is the house that we live in at Castaway. All of the assignment teams live in these houses. It is a wonderful place to spend a month!!
Ond of the little girls that lives in our house (jenna) had a birthday a couple days ago. We suprised her with a little party...but a lot of fun! :)
Isaac and his daddy enjoying some of the party fun! ( I know that his hair is getting totally out of control. There are a couple reasons: 1. I don't have any hair cutting scissors here. 2. I know that when I do try to cut it, it is going to be a nightmare meaning that Isaac will hate it and try to push the scissors out of my hands. 3. I don't trust anyone else to cut it (I know... sometimes I am weird and controlling about weird things.) 4. I think that it is so cute. I always twirl his little curls around my finger and I love kissing his hair and just nusseling my nose into it.)

The other night I looked out and the moon was shining on the water in the most beautiful way. Also, there are Loons that live on this like right by us. If you have ever heard a Loon (sp?) they are such beautiful sounding birds...a big haunting at times...but beautiful none the less.
Our deck at sunset. Seriously people, this is the way it looks EVERY NIGHT!! Last night Dan and I got to sit out here for an hour or so after we put Isaac to bed and just enjoyed the beauty of creation.

Castaway (day 4)

This little swing is attached to our house and Isaac has really been enjoying it. It's nice because as I stand to push him I have a great view of the lake and of the cutest little boy in the world!!
