Every Day is fun
We have for sure hit a new stride. Not to say that my days are without struggle, but my life looks very different than it did one year ago, and VERY VERY different than it did two years ago. My feelings and my thoughts surrounding Isaac and Lily are overflowing with fun and enjoyment. Every day I just want to bottle up their cute voices, and all the funny things that they say. There is a sweetness and an innocence about them that is almost intoxicating. I am so often straddling the line of tightly grasping each moment and desperately trying to hold onto it in the realization that it is so fleeting and just living in the moment and enjoying it and loosely holding onto these days, weeks, months, and years.

RJ probably could...
My brother RJ is definitely bigger than your average guy. He’s 6’8” and has a large frame. You would probably notice him if you saw him walking down the street or if he was your waiter at Fridays. Well, to Isaac and Lily, RJ has become somewhat of a mythical figure. Over the last few weeks, since we saw RJ at Christmas, it has become a daily ritual to hear about what RJ can probably do. Here are some cute examples:
The other day my mom was in town and she was sitting on the couch watching “Free Willy” with Isaac and Lily. The kids kept commenting on how BIG the whale was. She was telling them that the whale is heavier than a car. Isaac says, “But RJ is probably heavier, right?” Then she told them that the whale was taller than any person. And Isaac says, “But not taller than RJ right? RJ is really really tall. Taller even than the whale.”
The other day we were driving in the car and out of nowhere Isaac says, “Mommy, RJ can probably pick up a car with his hands, right?”
Today we were driving and Isaac was asking what all those strings in the sky are (referring to electricity and telephone wires.) I try to explain, and then he says, “how do they get up there?” I explain that men will climb up ladders and put them up. And he says, “Yeah, or RJ could just put them up there without a ladder, right?” And then little Lily pipes in and says, “RJ could use the step stool from our house mommy.”
I wish that I could remember more examples because there have been soooo many. I think that it is just adorable and so sweet that they really think RJ is some kind of super-human hero figure.
Below are some favorite pics over the last month or so.

babies (as in baby dolls)

I just love watching Lily play with her babies. It's especially interesting for me because I never really got into babies. I remember having them and going over to friend's houses that had them and always wanted to play with them. But I never really understand what the fun of baby dolls was.
